The blog is a demonstration of the contracts put in place and a collaboration of team members each doing their specialised and specified jobs. All the while holding a bigger picture as team leader. This big picture for me is the details, such as clear and explicit contracts for clients to follow, creating security in understanding expectations and parameters of commitment. Synergised sewing processes so that in a large collection of blouses every cuff is produced in the same sewing process, every zip set in the exactly the same manner, and so on. The technical drawings are consistent on the cad process, duplicating the exact stitching that has been followed on the sewing process and representing this in detail, paying attention to scale in stitching length, silhouette size and explicit word descriptions that match the technical drawing. All this creating clarity for the client.

MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR FITTING SESSION

Each person that qualifies for the corporate wardrobe will have the opportunity to attend a fitting session. The fitting session will be your opportunity to select and try on the garments that will suit your size, style and shape. A professional consultant will be on hand to provide you with expert advice. A range of sizes will be available at the fitting session to ensure you make an informed decision when selecting your wardrobe items.

To make the most of this experience it would be appreciated if you could take note of the following issues:

· Please respect your colleagues that will be attending the fitting session with you. Not everyone feels comfortable with their body. Please reserve any comments about another person’s body, underwear etc.

· Dressing rooms will be provided to give you the necessary privacy when changing into the selected garments. Please use these cubicles to dress and undress and do not walk around in the fitting room without being properly clothed.

· Many people will be attending these fitting sessions in your province. Please handle the garments with care when dressing. Try to not get any make-up etc on the garments by covering your face with a scarf when trying on the garment. For this reason, no food and beverages will be allowed in the fitting rooms.

· Wear proper, clean underwear to the fitting session and keep this on when trying on the garments.

· Given that 4 people at a time will be attending the fitting session and you only have one hour to select and try on your garments, you need to be conscious of not taking too long. Make sure that every one of the 4 people spends adequate time with the consultants.

What to have on / take with you to the fitting session:

· A positive attitude.

· Scarf to cover your face when fitting on the garments.

· Clean underwear.

· Order sheet (please do not fill this in before the fitting session).

How the process will work:

· Your co-ordinator will schedule your fitting session for you.

· Before the fitting session please go through the brochure in detail and start assessing which of the garments you like.

· Once you have arrived at the fitting room you need to report to the co-ordinator so that they can establish who has not arrived.

· Select the appropriate size garment that you would like to try on during consultation with the consultant.

· Take the garments off the hangers and leave the hangers on the rail

· Go and change into this in the dressing rooms that are provided for this purpose.

· Handle the garments with care and cover your face so that there is no make-up transfer on the garment.

· Make sure you show the consultant how the garments look before you undress again, as this will give them an opportunity to advise you on the best fit and style.

· Once the consultant has seen you, go and undress again.

· Once you have made your final decision on the garments you want to order, complete your order sheet.

· Check the information to make sure it is 100 % correct and sign the order form.

· Take it to the co-ordinator to input into the electronic system. Please check that your information is captured correctly.

· The co-ordinator will supply you with a card on which your order is stated.

· You have now completed the fitting session and can return to your branch.

How long will I wait for my wardrobe?

· Each week, all the captured orders will be downloaded to the system which will start the manufacturing process.

· It will take more or less 6 weeks for your garment to be manufactured and delivered to your office.

· Each person’s wardrobe will be individually packed and sent to you.

· Upon receipt, we need you to open the box in the presence of the designated Organising Committee co-ordinator.

· Please check the garments in the box against the order form.

· If there are any discrepancies, please report this to the Organising Committee co-ordinator, who in turn will report it to the manufacturer.

WHY STAFF NEED TO ATTEND FITTING SESSIONS?
