Let’s start out by saying most beauties defy description, pigeon holing and being corralled into one Goddess. There are always going to be women who are atypical in one or all the categories. I want you to hold this in mind as I reveal each one.

They are familiar to us through art and literature. The myths and stories live on in tales and fantasies. I will use a definition based in Jungian psychology, that an Archetype = is an inherited pattern of thought or symbolic imagery derived from the past collective experience and present in the individual unconscious.
Archetypes pervade our psyche and the myths will live out through us consciously or unconsciously. The beauty of this work is that by gaining some knowledge it has a deep effect on us and allows us to have choices, on how we conduct and address our lives with positive and long-lasting positive effects.
Each archetype falls into often predictable body types which I will refer to body types using names like: The Column, Lollypop, Cornet, Brick, Apple, Hourglass, and Pear.
I am using these shapes to create a common platform and universal image that we can all access and imagine>
Have you ever wondered why some people dress a certain way?
Or why you love a look in clothing, but you just can’t wear it?
Or that really expensive outfit you bought leaves you feeling physically yuck?
Have you been given feedback that the way you dress does not represent who you are? Or that you have a unique sense of style?
This may be indicative of how well integrated all the different facets of the Goddess are, or where your wounding is.
So, let’s introduce the cast:
Athena: who is most commonly found and recognised in the western world. She is rational, intellectual achiever and has a highly refined sense of justice. Typically has and does well in a career.
Artemis: The Adventure, she is practical, loves competition, athletic and probably a green environmentalist, she is sisterly and protective. Your personal trainer is most likely an Artemis, ah yes, I can see you smile.
Hestia: the goddess of hearth and home she is inwardly focused, she minds her own business, well grounded, her energy is impersonal and detached, you will most likely find her living in a community of like-minded people, if you find her at all as she is so often overlooked.
Hera: is the Queen and represents equal partnerships in marriage, moral and social concerns of, fidelity and stability. Often, she does great charity work for her community.
Demeter: the mother epitomizes nurturing, whether she has expressed this through having her own children or providing nourishment psychologically, spiritually or through caretaking, I am sure you all know of a woman who hugs you with such safety and warmth that that is where you want to stay just a moment longer.
Persephone: represents the daughter, the deeper part of a woman that just knows. She is the healer, and spiritual guide, visionary and mystic.
And lastly mighty Aphrodite: Sadly, western society portrays her as a parody of her former glory; she is not just sexuality but the Goddess of transformation and integrated feminine wisdom. She represents love, relationships, sensuality and passion and makes a great counsellor. So, let’s go into each one with more detail.
Now that we know a little of the archetypes we see how we can become one sided by expressing ourselves through only one aspect of the feminine. There is value in making the emotional changes that sustain the self-expression through clothing. Hopefully I have peaked your interest by just touching the surface of the Feminine Archetypes, I go into much greater detail in the Master Classes where there is a rich environment filled with props and wardrobe to give people a better understanding of each of the seven feminine aspects.
